Noodle Salad

We have a saying in our house, "Good times and noodle salad" I won't go into the whole back story, but it basically means making good memories. So, I decided that I would post a semi-regular column with "noodle salad" moments. Just some random fun stuff from the last few weeks. Enjoy!
These first pics are from our dinner with Jeff, Amanda's boyfriend, before he left for school. It was a fun night, but we missed Cyndi and Jake.

Ben as superhero!

Macy as Diva!

A snack after a long day of swimming!

And, my new orange laundry room! This is noodle salad for me, because I did it myself!!

Zoo

Now that I work part-time the kids and I really get to enjoy our zoo pass - we go every week. It's so fun to watch them get excited about the animals we've seen 100 times, especially the lions and (for some reason) the penquins (for Ben) and the Tiger (for Macy). Just a few cute pics of them having fun.

Props to Macy for this last picture. She wanted to take one of me and Ben. Actually, she wanted me to climb inside the kangaroo with Ben and take our picture. Thankfully, I talked her out of that! I got really low thinking that I would be lucky to get my head in the picture, but I was wrong - she took a great picture!

Preschool Graduation

Well, Macy is a (preschool) graduate! The pics are a little dark, but she's the cutie in the pink dress. We went to her program the other night and it was so cute. They had a slide show and as the kids' names were called they showed a picture of them in a cap and gown on the screen. Unfortunately, we learned during the program that we need to have a talk with Macy about how we sit in a dress. We didn't get any good pictures of it, but during the times in the program when the kids sat most of the church saw Macy's underwear. Chad and I were just about ready to rush the stage and save her and ourselves from scandal and then realized the little girl next to her was doing the same thing! I guess as long as she doesn't pull the same thing at High School graduation we'll be OK!!

Swing Time

Pappy helped get Ben and Macy all set for golf season by cutting down some clubs for them. It reminded me of when we were kids and Dad did the same for me and the girls. I distinctly remember him taking us to Pond View to play a round - it was  probably only a couple of holes, but still that's a brave man!!

It's so cute to see Ben and Macy concentrate on hitting the ball with their little clubs. Thankfully, we found some wiffle golf balls so we don't have to worry about one of them actually making contact and knocking one of us out!
