We're with Ronald!

This is from the Rhinestone Rodeo, a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House. This was the highlight of the night for us!!

Summer

Aunt Amanda is getting buried in pillows - one of Ben's favorite games!

Yes, I had my camera on me this day and I intended to use it! Other people in the restaurant were lucky I didn't start shooting them! PS. Doesn't Amanda look like a real diva here!!

Summer Wrap-Up!

Just found a few pictures floating around that I hadn't posted. I thought it was a good end of summer post!
This was our trip to the Zoo with CeCe back in July. Ben and Macy loved having her to themselves!

Macy's First Day of School

We knew this day was coming all summer, but couldn't believe it was finally here. We had a great morning and when the bus came around she took off. I had to call her back for a big kiss. Thankfully, we have some great neighbors accross the street who had a little boy starting kindergarten as well as well as an older sister so they all got on the bus together. I think knowing she had some friends already made it a lot easier for Macy. It also made it easier on  us. The only thing she complained about was that she had to leave her new Twinkle Toes Sketchers at school!! She also seemed upset when I told her we'd be going back to school tomorrow. I didn't have the heart to tell her she would be doing this for the next 16 years! Better for her to figure that out later!
These first  pics are from the open house at her school on Monday night. She got to meet her teacher and play around in the room for awhile.

Indiana Dunes

While Chad was on vacation we had CeCe, Ben and Macy's cousin, over to spend the week with us. The kids were beyond excited to spend the week with her. We also worked in a visit to see Aunt Meme (as the kids call Amy). The Borens took us to the Indiana Dunes and we had a great day at the beach. It was a blast for the kids and adults!

Fourth of July

Fourth of July was spent at the lake with the family. Chad was on vacation the following week so we got to spend extra time at the lake and spent a couple of days with the Borens. We all had a fun day at the beach and hanging out at the Boren house.

Macy on her raft - her hands were over her eyes because, "The sun is too bright!"
I had to take this picture to show off that not only are we a very loyal Dodge-Chrysler family, but we are also very patriotic. Notice the red, white and blue minivans! We should have had our own parade!

Pick up Sticks

It's been a couple of months since our last blog. The summer is going sooo fast! It's been great.
These first pics are from Father's Day. Dad got the kids to help him pick up sticks in the yard. This was funny to us because as a kid this was the chore I hated most! Little Sophie who's just over a year old joined in and Macy found her own little cart so she could gather her own sticks. Unbelievable!!

Here they are playing in the sprinkler, and yes, my children are in their underwear. It was hot and they had fun - that's all that matters!
Here they are with Pappy and his gifts! Natalie is in there, just a little hidden.
Here they re using stickers as sunglasses - I really don't know.
